PGA Tour Americas Hopefuls Begin in Manitoba

SPRINGFIELD, Manitoba — The Manitoba Open began Thursday at Elmhurst Golf and Country Club, continuing the late-season race for advancement through PGA Tour Americas.

Early scoring placed Garrett Endicott and Sam Ralston among the pace-setters at approximately 5 under, with Luke Gannon, Joey Vrzich and others moving into contention as the afternoon wave played. Because much of the field was still on the course, those positions remained subject to considerable change.

The tournament offers a $225,000 purse and 500 Fortinet Cup points. The leading players on the season-long points list can graduate to the Korn Ferry Tour, making every position especially valuable at this stage of the schedule. Official PGA Tour Americas leaderboard
